Shari Frausto Celebratory MemorialApril 21st, 2014 9:23pmColorado Beagle Rescue has created the Shari Frausto Celebratory Memorial to honor Shari who died in 2013. When Shari died, she remembered CBR in her will and named us as one of her beneficiaries. We will be forever grateful to Shari for her generosity enabling us to continue our efforts to help unwanted beagles become healthy and whole and eventually find forever homes. Rest in peace Shari--we are deeply saddened to lose your spirit and your loving heart. We know that there is a very special place in Heaven for you. If you wish to make a donation to Colorado Beagle Rescue in Shari's name, please know the money will go to help a beagle in need of medical attention. Before rescue beagles go to their forever homes, vaccinations must be updated, spay/neuter surgeries must be done, dental evaluations, along with many surgical procedures and medicines the beagle must have. By honoring Shari with your donation, you will also be making an ... Here's what Jill Bruse has to say about her beagle boy!
A bit of history on Twist--he came to Colorado Beagle Rescue on the CARE transport, a product of Missouri where he was left to fend for himself and picked up by a high kill shelter. CBR was able to bring him to Colorado where Twist was in foster care with Kathy and Chris Pflazgraff until he was adopted by the Bruse family. What a great dog that was adopted by a family who cared about him and gave him some positive training. He ... His GREATEST Christmas present came three days after Christmas when he came home from the Animal Hospital with NO CAST OR BANDAGE! All the fractures he received in his right, front leg have healed. But alas, he had to remain in his cone for another week as he was chewing on the newly exposed limb. The other great news we received is that to build up the muscles in the leg, he is allowed to have greater freedom and is not on one hundred percent crate rest due to the ever present pelvic fracture. If you look closely at the pictures below, you can see how his right leg has atrophied, but YOU CAN SEE IT! Fred is still restricted from major activities like long/steep stairs, energetic wrestling matches, or strenuous running, but he can now roam the house and yard at his leisure. During the day Freddie ...
